Abbey Insurance Create New Jobs
Abbey Insurance Brokers, now incorporating Open + Direct, has announced the appointment of a new branch manager in one of its L/Derry branches, as well as the creation of ten new jobs.
The branch, located in The Diamond, sees Michelle McGlinchey appointed as Branch Manager. Michelle has been with the Abbey team since 2004 and now will be responsible for overseeing all operations in this location.
In addition to Michelle, two new appointments have been made within the Abbey family in the North West. Kara Doherty has been instated as ROI Business Development Manager and will manage all cross-border business. Meanwhile, Ryan Donaghy has been appointed North West Floating Manager.
Ten new positions have also been created in the Diamond branch, further boosting what is already Northern Ireland’s biggest Abbey Insurance Brokers premises.
Abbey Insurance started in Newtownabbey in 1973 by founder George Storey. It has grown to be one of Northern Ireland’s largest insurance brokers with 23 branches province wide and over 400 employees. Currently, they operate two Abbey branches in the city at the Diamond and Spencer Road (formerly Open + Direct).
